The comic strip "La guerre des blup" was created in 1974 by Daniel Roux when he was 16 years old, using Caran d'Ache Fibralo markers. All the characters have the same name, much like the Smurfs. It wasn't until 1988 that the name "Toto" appeared. In 1992 , an "i" was finally added to create the name blupi that we know today.
